Foster Wallace, LLC recently reached a $167,500 settlement in a case involving our client, a pedestrian, who was struck while walking on the side of the road in Belton, Cass County, Missouri. Our client spent a couple days in the hospital after the wreck. The defense argued he should not have been walking where he was walking when struck and he was wearing dark clothing at dusk, preventing their client from seeing him. After obtaining video footage, however, the defense agreed to settle the case for $167,500.00 dollars. Our client was pleased with the result and plans to use the money to purchase his first house.
