JACKSON CO., MO - Two drivers were sent to the hospital following a multi-vehicle collision just north of Lee's Summit early today.
According to a report by the MSHP, the crash took place just after 5 a.m. on I-470 near the exit to NE Colbern Road.
Troopers say the 42-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2000 Mitsubishi stopped in the center lanes of the freeway and was struck by a 2004 Honda.
Both the Mitsubishi's driver and the 35-year-old driver of the Honda were hospitalized with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
It is unclear at this time why the vehicle was stopped in the roadway.
