SMITHVILLE, MO - A man was killed in a collision involving four vehicles and a motorcycle near Smithville on Tuesday evening.

According to a report by Fox 4, the crash happened as the 21-year-old motorcyclist was heading north on US-169 and collided with a 2016 Ford Explorer near the intersection with State Highway DD. The motorcycle then slammed into two additional vehicles.

The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No injuries were reported from any of the other vehicles involved.
