BENTON COUNTY, MO - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Benton County Sunday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The MSHP issued a crash report on the incident that occurred on Route C near Bell Avenue shortly after 2 a.m.  According to state troopers, the driver of a Ford F-150 was heading westbound on Route C and travelled into the eastbound lane. 

The Ford struck a GMC Terrain head-on, and the Ford came to rest blocking the roadway.  The GMC went off the road and ended up in a ditch.

The driver of the Ford, a 56-year-old man from Gravois Mills, Missouri, was seriously injured and was flown to University Hospital.

The driver of the GMC, a 32-year-old woman from Lincoln, Missouri, and a passenger, a 36-year-old man from Montague, California, suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Golden Valley Hospital.
