PETTIS COUNTY, MO - The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports three people were injured, two seriously, in a collision in Pettis County on Tuesday evening.
The MSHP's accident log states that the incident took place on MIssouri Route B just north of Ragar Road at about 6:50 p.m.
It was reported that the driver of a 2006 Ford was passing another vehicle while traveling southbound in the northbound lanes. The driver of a 2018 Acura overtook and struck the Ford.
The driver of the Acura, a 23-year-old Green Ridge woman, and a passenger, a 3-year-old Sedalia boy, were transported to University Hospital. The woman was seriously injured while the child had moderate injuries. The driver of the Ford, a 22-year-old man from Sedalia, was taken to the same hospital with serious injuries.
The child was not wearing a safety device, troopers said.
