KANSAS CITY, MO - Two people were hospitalized after a high-speed collision involving three vehicles in south Kansas City last night.

According to KSHB, a red Toyota sedan was heading south on Prospect Street at a high rate of speed when it collided with a Honda CRV near Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard at about 9:45 p.m.

The impact caused the Toyota to hit a concrete barrier and slam into a Chevrolet Equinox that was parked nearby.

Two unidentified occupants of the Toyota were extricated and rushed to a local hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. We do not know at this time if anyone else was injured in the wreck.
