JOHNSON COUNTY, MO - The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a collision in Johnson County on Friday left four people injured, one seriously.

According to KSIS, two vehicles crashed at the intersection of Highway 50 and NW 501 Road at about 3:15 p.m.  The MSHP said a 43-year-old man Paris man driving a Pontiac Grand Prix southbound failed to yield to a westbound Ford Fusion, and the Ford hit the side of the Pontiac.

The Pontiac driver was transported to Research Medical Center with serious injuries.  A 70-year-old female passenger in the Ford suffered moderate injuries, while another female passenger and the 67-year-old male driver sustained minor injuries.  Those three, all residents of Warrensburg, were taken to Western Missouri Medical Center.

The Ford had extensive damage and the Pontiac was totaled, troopers said.
