KANSAS CITY, MO - One person sustained serious injuries following a collision on Sunday night, KSHB reports. 

 

The two vehicle crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of 47th Street and Raytown Road. 

 

A Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Raytown Road when it ran a red light and hit a Ford Edge that was attempting to turn left from southbound Raytown into 47th Street. 

 

Police have also indicated that the Corolla was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the Edge. 

 

A passenger in the Corolla who was not wearing a seat belt suffered serious injuries. Two others from the Corolla also sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
