KANSAS CITY, MO - A high-speed collision in southeast Kansas City Sunday afternoon left one man dead and another person injured.
According to a report by Fox 4, the collision occurred as a black Chevrolet Suburban Was heading west on Banister Road at a high rate of speed. The Suburban then collided with the rear of a Ford church van stopped at the light near I-435.
The impact caused the Chevrolet to hit the median and a concrete light pole before sliding across all westbound lanes of the roadway.
The Chevrolet's driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
