KANSAS CITY, MO - A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash along I-435 in southeast Kansas City on Wednesday evening.

According to KCTV 5, the incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. when two motorcyclists were traveling at a high rate of speed on the freeway. When they reached a curve, one of the motorcycles, a black Kawasaki ZX, crashed into the median.

The rider on the Kawasaki was ejected from the pike and rolled through the freeway median. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

No additional injuries were reported as a result of the wreck.
