LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - A man was killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash just east of Lee's Summit, KSHB reports.

The crash happened along MO-291 near the intersection with Langsford Road at about 11 p.m.

Officers say the driver of a white Nissan van was heading north on the freeway when he lost control for unknown reasons.

The vehicle struck a traffic signal and traveled through the median. The driver, an unidentified man, was ejected as a result of the crash. He was taken to a local hospital, where she died a short time later.
