CLAY COUNTY, MO - A driver was seriously injured in a collision with a tractor-trailer in Clay County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, a 59-year-old man was driving a 2013 Chevy northbound on Interstate 35 at about 12:30 p.m. when he changed the lanes and struck the rear of a 2013 Kenworth tractor-trailer.
The Chevy driver, a resident of Excelsior Springs, was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment. Troopers said he was wearing a seat belt at the time. No other injuries were reported.
