KANSAS CITY, MO - Police said two drivers fled from the scene after their cars were involved in a collision in Kansas City Wednesday afternoon.
According to WDAF, the accident happened in the area of E. 30th Terrace and Van Brunt Boulevard at about 4:30 p.m. Investigators said the driver of a Toyota Camry was headed east on E. 30th Terrace and entered the intersection from a yield sign. The Camry entered the path of a Chevrolet Silverado going north on Van Brunt Boulevard and the vehicles collided.
One back seat passenger in the Toyota was hospitalized in critical condition, while another back seat passenger was in serious condition after being partially ejected out the rear window. A front seat passenger in the Toyota was hospitalized in stable condition.
Police said the two drivers left the scene on foot before officers and emergency crews got there.
