PLATTE CITY, MO - Two men were injured following a four-vehicle accident in Platte City on Monday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on the exit ramp from I-29 southbound onto MO-92. Three vehicles were stopped at a red light when a 2021 GMC Sierra failed to slow down and rear-ended a 2015 Hino 268. This caused a chain reaction that eventually involved all four vehicles at the light.
The Sierra was totaled and its driver, a 48-year-old man, was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center with moderate injuries. An 18-year-old male passenger in the Sierra also sustained minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
