KANSAS CITY, MO - Three people were sent to the hospital, including one in critical condition, after a high-speed crash in west Kansas City early Sunday.
According to KSHB, the crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and 31st Street.
Police say a white Ram pickup truck and a black Mazda sedan were heading south at a high rate of speed, when the Mazda struck the Ram. The impact caused both vehicles to veer across the roadway. The Ram then struck the Mazdam causing it to slam into a concrete pillar.
Both occupants in the Mazada were extricated and rushed to the hospital. The driver was in critical condition, while the passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The Ram's driver was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
