PLATTE COUNTY, MO - Two people were injured when their vehicle was involved in a crash in Platte County on Sunday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued a crash report on the incident, which took place on Highway 152 at the entrance ramp to I-435 at about 7:30 p.m.
State troopers said the driver of a Buick Enclave SUV travelled off the roadway, went airborne and struck an embankment. The driver, a 65-year-old man from Meadville, Missouri, and his passenger, a 24-year-old woman from Cadet, Missouri, were seriously injured in the wreck.
The driver was transported to North Kansas City Hospital while the passenger was taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center. Troopers said both occupants were wearing seat belts at the time. The SUV sustained extensive damage.
