KANSAS CITY, MO - Two people were rushed to the hospital following a motorcycle accident near Pleasant Hill on Sunday.

According to KMZU, Charles Ferguson, 49, lost control of his motorcycle while heading south on MO-7. Both Ferguson and his passenger, 47-year-old Christine Ferguson, were ejected when the bike skidded off the right side of the freeway.

The riders were transported to St. Luke's Hospital in serious condition. 

It is unclear at this time what caused Ferguson to lose control of his motorcycle.
