KANSAS CITY, MO - Police said a car and a motorcycle were involved in a fatal collision in Kansas City on Sunday.
According to the Kansas City Star, the accident happened in the area of Broadway Boulevard and 18th Street.
Police said the operator of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was going north on Broadway Boulevard at a high rate of speed and crossed over the center yellow lines. The motorcycle slammed head-on into a Volkswagen Beetle near the intersection with 18th Street.
The motorcycle rider was thrown from the bike and hit the windshield of the Volkswagen. The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. Police said the driver of the Volkswagen and a passenger refused medical attention.
