KANSAS CITY, MO - A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital following a hit-and-run collision near downtown Kansas City on Wednesday.
According to KMBC, the motorcyclist was heading east on the interstate near The Paseo when they were hit by a white Buick Encore.
The impact caused the motorcycle to hit a concrete barrier, ejecting the rider. The rider was taken to a local hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Buick stopped initially, but fled when another driver pulled over. They were located at a gas station near Truman Road and Brooklyn Avenue a short time later and taken into custody.
