KANSAS CIT Y, MO - An accident outside Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium on Monday morning left a motorcycle rider critically injured.
According to KSHB, the driver of a Harley Davidson was going south on Blue Ridge Cutoff near 40th Street when the incident occurred at about 11:22 a.m. Police said the motorcycle struck a pedestrian who was walking south on Blue Ridge Cutoff in the crosswalk outside gate one at the stadium.
The motorcycle rider lost control and was ejected from the bike. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital for treatment of critical injuries. The pedestrian was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police said the motorcycle rider was wearing a half-helmet at the time of the crash.
