KANSAS CITY, MO - At least one lane on I-435 was blocked after a semi-truck overturned in east Kansas City on Thursday afternoon.

According to Fox 4 KC, the crash occurred at about 1:15 p.m. when the driver lost control of the truck in the northbound lanes of the interstate near the Truman Road exit.

The truck rolled onto its side and struck a light pole before coming to rest in one of the right lanes of the freeay. It is unclear at this time if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.

Traffic was delayed in the area for several hours while a crane was called in to right the truck.
