KANSAS CITY, MO - A woman died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run crash late last week, Fox 4 reports.

Investigators say the 47-year-old woman was intentionally struck by a vehicle near East 40th Street and Troost Avenue last Friday, April 22nd.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.

The driver, a 69-year-old man, initially fled the scene. He was later arrested and charged with second degree aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident.
