KANSAS CITY, MO - A woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in north Kansas City on Thursday evening.
According to KSHB, a Dodge pickup truck collided with two other vehicles near the intersection of Winner Road and Blue Ridge Boulevard at about 7:30 p.m. The impact caused the truck to enter the parking lot of a nearby liquor store, where it hit a woman as she was walking out.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died a short time later.
The driver of the Dodge initially fled the scene but was pursued by two witnesses. The suspect was eventually stopped and taken into custody by Kansas City police.
