PETTIS CO., MO - A teen driver was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in Pettis County on Wednesday night, according to the MSHP.
The accident happened just before 10 a.m. along Highway FF just north of the intersection with Northeast 700th Road.
Troopers say the 19-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2009 Toyota Prius failed to negotiate a turn and lost control of his vehicle. The Toyota then skidded off the left side of the roadway, went airborne, and crashed into an embankment.
The teen was rushed to Western Missouri Medical Center in serious condition. No additional injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
