LEAVENWORTH, KS - Two people suffered injuries following a three-vehicle accident in Leavenworth on Friday afternoon, the Leavenworth Times reports. 

 

The accident occurred at the intersection of Limit Street and Maple Avenue shortly before 2:30 p.m. 

 

A 62-year-old woman was traveling south on Maple Avenue in a Mercedes M Class when she ran the red light at Limit street and struck a westbound Chevrolet Silverado. The truck then hit a Chevrolet Monte Carlo in a nearby turn lane. 

 

The driver of the Silverado, a 49-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Saint John Hospital. The driver of the Mercedes also reported pain in her neck. 

 

The three occupants of the Monte Carlo remained uninjured.
