KANSAS CITY, MO - A portion of I-70 in southeast Kansas City was shut down following a tractor-trailer crash Saturday morning.

According to KMBC, the crash took place in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Blue Ridge Boulevard sometime before 9 a.m.

Police say the tractor-trailer was traveling east when it overturned for unknown reasons, coming to rest in the westbound lanes of the freeway.

We do not know at this time if anyone was injured in the crash. However, the freeway was shut down in both directions while crews worked to clear the scene.
