JOHNSON COUNTY, MO - State troopers said a motorcyclist was injured in an accident in Johnson County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident log, the incident took place on U.S. 50 at Missouri 58 shortly before 4 p.m. 

Investigators said a 39-year-old Warrensburg man was driving a 1983 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound when he lost control on uneven lanes of the roadway and crashed.

The rider suffered serious injuries in the accident and was taken by ambulance to Research Medical Center. The MSHP was assisted at the scene by Johnson County Fire.
