JACKSON CO., MO - A teen driver was sent to the hospital after her vehicle struck a deer in Jackson County yesterday.
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 19-year-old woman's 2013 Chevrolet hit the deer at about 10 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of US-50 near Al Gossett Road.
The woman was taken to Center Point Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
