PETTIS CO., MO - A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash just north of Sedalia on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report by the Missouri State Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. along Route HH, near the intersection with Cedar Drive.
Troopers say the motorcyclist, 50-year-old Terry Randolph, swerved to avoid hitting a dog in the roadway. HIs motorcycle then skidded off the roadway and became airborne, ejecting both riders.
The passenger, 36-year-old Kari Robinson, was pronounced dead at the scene. Randolph was rushed to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Both were wearing helmets when the crash occurred.
