KANSAS CITY, MO - A woman was seriously injured when she was hit by two vehicles in northeast Kansas City overnight.
According to a report by Fox 4 KC, the woman was standing in the road on Independence Avenue near Indiana Avenue when she was hit by a black Toyota 4Runner.
The impact threw the woman into the oncoming lanes, where she was hit by another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle did not stop.
The unidentified pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the 4Runner remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police are searching for the second vehicle's driver. We will update this blog as more information comes to light.
