HARRISONVILLE, MO - Two women were killed in a wrong-way collision in Harrisonville on Monday, KSHB reports.

A 77-year-old woman was driving a 2005 Toyota Highland north in the southbound lanes of I-49 when she struck a 2002 Chevrolet SUV driven by a 73-year-old woman.

Both women suffered fatal injuries in the wreck. A third vehicle was also involved but its driver was uninjured.

It is unclear at this time why the Toyota was in the wrong lane.
