A Foster Wallace client recently settled a woman's case against a former friend of her's who started a fire while cooking in her apartment and led to burns on our client's face. The insurance company for the defendant denied the claim which caused our client's previous law firm to fire the client. The client then called us and we filed a lawsuit. After all depositions were taken, the insurance company caved and paid the policy limits of $100,000 and MedPay benefits of $1,000 to settle the case. Our client was absolutely thrilled with the result.
