In May, our team at Foster Wallace Personal Injury Lawyers had the privilege of sponsoring the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City (BIAKS) for their annual “Going the Distance for Brain Injury” event. This inspiring community gathering brought together families, advocates, and supporters to raise awareness about brain injuries and the impact they have on so many lives in our community. As advocates for brain injury awareness in Kansas City, we believe it’s vital to continue educating the public about prevention, recovery resources, and legal rights for those affected.
Why Brain Injury Awareness Matters to Us
As personal injury attorneys in Kansas City, we see firsthand how devastating a traumatic brain injury can be for an individual and their family. Beyond the physical challenges, brain injuries often bring emotional, financial, and long-term care struggles. Supporting organizations like BIAKS is one way we can give back outside of the courtroom and stand alongside those whose lives have been changed by injury.
Standing with Our Community
At the Going the Distance for Brain Injury event, our Foster Wallace team set up a booth to hand out towels and water bottles, host a KC Current ticket giveaway, connect with attendees, and cheer on participants. Many of our staff also joined in the run, making the day both meaningful and memorable. We’re proud to support the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City and remain committed to helping raise awareness about brain injuries while giving back to the community we serve.
