About the 12 Days of Giving

At Foster Wallace Personal Injury Lawyers, giving back to Kansas City is a core part of who we are. In December 2025, we launched our 12 Days of Giving campaign to support local organizations making a difference across the Kansas City metro.

Over the course of 12 days, we donated $1,000 each day to 12 local organizations, helping shine a light on the people and groups working hard to serve our neighbors during the holiday season and beyond.

What started as a holiday giving campaign became something even bigger. The response from our community helped inspire our 12 Months of Giving initiative, which now continues that same spirit of support throughout 2026.

12 Days of Giving

How It Started

Last fall, while the federal government was shut down, we watched our community get stretched in ways that were hard to ignore. Local organizations were stepping in to cover gaps left by reduced services, and families who were already living close to the edge felt that strain even more.

As a leadership team, we found ourselves asking the same question many Kansas Citians ask when things get tough: What can we do to help?

What started as a simple idea grew into something much bigger. Instead of making a single donation to a single cause, we wanted to cast a broader net, one that better reflects the depth and diversity of need across the metro.

That’s how 12 Days of Giving was born. Over 12 days, we donated to 12 local nonprofits, each one nominated by members of the Kansas City community.

Thank You, Kansas City

Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations, followed along, and helped us celebrate organizations doing meaningful work in our community. Your support made 12 Days of Giving incredibly special.

While this campaign has concluded, our commitment to giving back continues through 12 Months of Giving, where we donate $3,000 each month to a local nonprofit selected through community nominations. Visit our 12 Months of Giving page to learn about our current community initiative, see this year’s winners, and nominate a local nonprofit making a difference in Kansas City.
