Kansas City Personal Injury Law Firm Donates $3,000 Monthly to Local Nonprofits: A Halfway Check-In
Foster Wallace 12 Months of Giving is making a real impact halfway through the year! The campaign has seen over 650 nominations for 250 local nonprofits in its first six months, with Foster Wallace donating $3,000 each month to a nonprofit nominated by our community.
To say thank you for uplifting this incredible community of ours, each month Foster Wallace donates $3,000 to a Kansas City nonprofit nominated by our community members. Here are this year’s winners so far in 2026:
January – Open Doors Foundation KC
Our first winner is a short-term homeless shelter serving the Kansas City area. The organization offers shelter, hot meals, case management, counseling, and support services for individuals facing crisis. Through their services, clients are supported as they work toward stability and independence.
February – FosterAdopt Connect
FosterAdopt Connect provides critical support in the form of advocacy and case management for youth services and other resources. Their goal is to strengthen the community, one family at a time, by offering short-term and long-term support to families impacted by adoption and the foster care system. FosterAdopt Connect provides the guidance and support needed to ensure stability as families shape their new normal.
March – Mothers United for Families in Need (M.U.F.F.I.N.)
M.U.F.F.I.N. provides food security and other essentials to children and families needing support. Many families rely on the public school system for food and other resources. When school resources are unavailable, families can count on M.U.F.F.I.N. to help during trying times. This grassroots effort is driven by local mothers coming together to support families across Kansas City.
April – Isla Cares Foundation
This compassionate organization serves Kansas City families battling pediatric cancer. Isla Cares Foundation crafts unique care packages for families as they face one of life’s toughest challenges. Foster Wallace and Isla Cares Foundation strive to ensure these families feel comforted and supported as they navigate their deeply personal journey.
May – Braden’s Hope for Childhood Cancer
Inspired by the life of Braden Hofen and supporting local families for the last 15 years, Braden’s Hope offers a supportive community for families impacted by childhood cancer. Through advocacy for awareness and research, Braden’s Hope strives to ensure that one day a cure for pediatric cancer will be available.
June – Ella’s Hope for Autism
Supporting Kansas City residents impacted by a range of autism-spectrum disorders, Ella’s Hope for Autism ensures families and individuals are seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. Supporting Ella’s Hope for Autism is especially meaningful to Foster Wallace. Founding partner Michael Foster is raising a daughter with SynGAP1 syndrome, giving our team a personal understanding of the importance of organizations that provide resources, advocacy, and support for families.
The Next Six Months Are Just Ahead
That’s the first half of 2026! With nominations reopening on August 12, you’ll be able to nominate a local nonprofit that works to make a difference in the greater Kansas City community and join Foster Wallace in saying “thank you” through the 12 Months of Giving campaign!
