Johnson County mother of three settles case for $100,000.00 policy limits

A Foster Wallace, LLC client settled her case for a total of $100,000.00 from a driver after she was struck at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 55^th street in Kansas City, Missouri. After our client settled for the policy limits of $50,000 against the driver who struck her, Foster Wallace made a claim against her own insurance company for an additional $50,000 pursuant to her under insured motorist coverage that she had available. At first, her insurance company balked but after we drafted up a lawsuit and sent it to the adjuster, the insurance company caved and paid the additional $50,000 of UIM coverage our client had purchased. It is very important to have uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage for situations like this when someone who does not have enough insurance or no insurance at all causes a wreck.
