BATES CO., MO - One man was seriously injured after his vehicle careened into the rear of a tractor-trailer in Bates County on Monday evening.
According to 921 News, the crash occurred when a 2000 Toyota Sienna crashed into the rear of a towed unit being pulled by a 2015 Freightliner on I-49 northbound at about 4:20 p.m.
The Toyota then veered off the side of the freeway and overturned. The Freightliner came to a stop on the shoulder.
The 66-year-old male driver of the Toyota was seriously hurt, but refused medical attention. The Freightliner's driver was uninjured. The precise location and cause of the crash is not mentioned in the report.
