KANSAS CITY, MO - Kansas City police were at the scene of a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Monday evening.
According to KSHB, the operator of a Honda motorcycle was driving at high speed on 26th Street and went through a stop sign at Kensington Avenue. The motorcycle was then struck by a Chevrolet Traverse going north on Kensington Avenue.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and onto the hood of the Chevrolet before being thrown to the ground. The motorcyclist was initially hospitalized in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable condition.
Police said the motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver and passenger in the Chevrolet refused medical treatment at the scene.
